    Waterfowl Hunting Guide – No Fly Zone

    Location: Saskatchewan
    Job Type: Seasonal (September 1 – October 25)
    Reports to: Outfitter/Owner
    Salary: $27.50/hour + Tips

    About Us: No Fly Zone is a premier waterfowl hunting outfitter dedicated to providing exceptional hunting experiences for our clients. With access to prime hunting locations and a commitment to conservation, we pride ourselves on offering top-notch service and memorable hunts.

    Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Waterfowl Hunting Guide to join our team for the hunting season from September 1 to October 25. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of waterfowl species, hunting techniques, and safety protocols. This role involves guiding clients on successful hunts, ensuring their safety and satisfaction, and maintaining hunting equipment and blinds.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Guiding Hunts:
      • Lead clients on waterfowl hunts, providing expert guidance and advice.
      • Identify waterfowl species and ensure adherence to hunting regulations and bag limits.
      • Utilize effective calling techniques and decoy setups to attract waterfowl.
      • Ensure clients have a safe and enjoyable hunting experience.
      • Clean harvested birds.
    • Client Interaction:
      • Build positive relationships with clients, catering to their needs and preferences.
      • Educate clients on waterfowl behavior, hunting techniques, and conservation practices.
      • Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
    • Safety and Compliance:
      • Enforce all safety protocols and ensure clients are using firearms safely.
      • Stay updated on local, state, and federal hunting regulations.
      • Report any violations or safety concerns to the outfitter/owner.
    • Equipment and Maintenance:
      • Maintain and prepare hunting equipment, including firearms, blinds, decoys, and boats.
      • Ensure all equipment is in excellent working condition.
      • Assist in setting up and breaking down hunting blinds and decoy spreads.
    • Scouting and Preparation:
      • Scout hunting areas to identify prime locations and waterfowl patterns.
      • Assist in habitat management and conservation efforts.
      • Prepare and maintain hunting areas to ensure optimal hunting conditions.
    • Administrative Duties:
      • Assist with booking and scheduling hunts.
      • Maintain accurate records of hunts, including harvest data and client information.
      • Participate in marketing and promotional activities as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience as a waterfowl hunting guide or in a similar role.
    • Extensive knowledge of waterfowl species, hunting techniques, and safety protocols.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
    • Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
    • Valid hunting license and knowledge of local hunting regulations.
    • First aid and CPR certification is preferred.
    • Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance.
