    Attention all ice travelers,

A truck has broken through the ice near Broad Creek’s mouth on March 7, 2025. Due to this incident, the integrity of the ice has been compromised from the left side of Broad Creek’s mouth towards the center of the mouth when moving northbound. Extreme caution is advised in this area.

To ensure safety, orange flag tape has been placed to mark and block off the affected zone. All travelers are urged to avoid this section and instead hug the right bank of the mouth when accessing the ice.

Please use extra caution when traveling onto the lake, as ice conditions can change rapidly. Anyone venturing onto the ice should assess conditions frequently and be prepared for potential weak spots.

    Stay safe and remain vigilant.
