Canada is a fishing paradise, boasting over two million lakes and a variety of fish species ready to be caught. Whether you prefer freshwater or saltwater fishing, Canada offers an abundance of opportunities. Today, we will unveil our top picks for the best fishing spots in Canada for 2024. So, let’s count down the seven best fishing spots in Canada for this year.

7. Mississauga, Lake Ontario, Ontario

Starting our countdown at number seven, we have Mississauga on Lake Ontario. This urban fishing spot offers incredible Coho and Chinook Salmon, Steelhead, Brown, and Lake Trout fishing from May to October. The blend of urban amenities and excellent fishing makes Mississauga a unique destination.

For a quieter experience, head to nearby Lake Simcoe, known for Black Crappie, Northern Pike, and Smallmouth Bass. The diverse fisheries and proximity to Toronto’s attractions make this a perfect spot for a fishing trip.

Lake Simcoe in the summer

6. Campbell River, British Columbia

At number six is Campbell River, British Columbia, known as the “Salmon Capital of the World.” This area offers unparalleled Salmon fishing, with all five species of Pacific Salmon – Chinook, Coho, Chum, Pink, and Sockeye – available.

From July to September, you can target the mighty Tyee Chinook. With local guides ready to assist, whether you prefer fly fishing or offshore trolling, Campbell River promises an unforgettable fishing experience.

Campbell River, BC

5. Lake of the Woods, Ontario

Lake of the Woods in Ontario holds the fifth spot in our countdown. This angler’s paradise boasts 14,552 islands and 65,000 miles of shoreline, home to Walleye, Muskie, Northern Pike, Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass, and more.

You can enjoy fantastic fishing year-round. From mid-May to October, Walleye fishing is particularly productive, with monster-sized Walleye in the fall. During the winter, the lake transforms into a premier ice fishing destination, attracting anglers from far and wide.

Heading over to the Atlantic, our third spot goes to North Lake, Prince Edward Island, famously known as the “Tuna Capital of the World.” Here, you can encounter Bluefin Tuna weighing between 600 and 1,200 pounds.

From late July to mid-October, these giant Bluefins come close to shore for the annual herring spawn, making it an ideal time for fishing. These fish’s sheer power and size offer a thrilling challenge for any angler. Besides Tuna, you can also find Mackerel and Sharks in these waters, adding to the adventure.

In the ongoing rap feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake, tensions reached a boiling point with Lamar’s release of a scathing new diss track titled “Not Like Us”. This latest addition to the verbal sparring match between the two artists didn’t just take aim at Drake’s recent controversies and public missteps, it struck a blow to his reputation, further fueling the beef that has captivated fans and social media.

Lamar’s track seems to directly address Drake’s decision to remove his song “Taylor Made (Freestyle)” featuring an AI-generated Tupac Shakur from streaming platforms after Shakur’s estate expressed disapproval. In “Not Like Us,” Lamar raps lines like “You think the Bay gonna let you disrespect Pac? I think that Oakland show gonna be your last stop,” suggesting that Drake’s actions regarding the song were disrespectful to the legendary rapper’s legacy.

Moreover, Lamar appears to reference allegations of grooming against Drake, with lyrics like “Say, Drake, I hear you like them young. You better not ever go to cell block one,” adding fuel to the fire of controversy surrounding Drake’s past interactions with underage individuals.

Fans on social media were not just quick, but intense in their reactions to Lamar’s diss track, with many hailing the rapper for his bold critique of Drake’s actions. However, the response from Drake and his team has been lackluster, with the Canadian rapper only addressing specific allegations, such as those regarding his daughter, while seemingly avoiding more serious accusations like pedophilia and racism. This stark contrast in fan reactions shows the impact of the feud in the rap community.

In a twist that no one saw coming, producer Metro Boomin injected a fresh dose of unpredictability into the feud by dropping a beat titled “BBL Drizzy” and launching a contest for rappers to freestyle over it. This move, viewed by many as a sly dig at Drake, further amplifies the entertainment value of the ongoing conflict, leaving the audience on the edge of their seats.

Despite Drake’s attempts to defend himself and counter Lamar’s attacks, the general consensus among observers is that his responses have been misguided, leaving lingering doubts about the validity of the allegations against him. As the fight goes on, fans are unsure which accusations are true, making the rap beef even more interesting.

In the latest chapter of their ongoing feud, Drake and Kendrick Lamar have once again traded disses, taking their animosity to deeply personal levels. The beef begun with the release of Lamar’s diss track “6:16 in LA,” promptly followed by response tracks from both rappers on Friday night.

Drake, leading the counterattack, unleashed “Family Matters,” a seven-minute barrage of pointed jabs aimed squarely at Lamar’s personal life. “You mentioned my seed now deal with his dad,” Drake spits, diving into the sensitive territory of family dynamics. He doesn’t shy away from mentioning Lamar’s relationship with fiancee Whitney Alford, suggesting a hypocrisy in his views on Drake’s romantic choices. The Toronto artist even ventures into the realm of fatherhood, questioning Lamar’s parental responsibilities and implying that one of Lamar’s children might not be biologically his own.

The track escalates as Drake delves into their professional entanglements, referencing a cease and desist notice from Tupac Shakur’s estate over a previous song. Drake alleges that Lamar instigated the legal action, highlighting the extent of their behind-the-scenes maneuvering. He concludes with a grim image of their potential future, hinting at the racial implications for their children in a society still plagued by colorism.

Lamar’s response, “Meet the Grahams,” matches Drake’s intensity with an equally personal assault. Addressing each verse to specific members of Drake’s family, Lamar leaves no stone unturned in his critique. He expresses regret for Drake’s son, Adonis, lamenting the lack of paternal responsibility he perceives in Drake. Lamar’s words to Drake’s mother and father are equally scathing, accusing them of enabling their son’s questionable behavior.

However, the most shocking revelation comes in Lamar’s addressing of a purported secret daughter of Drake’s, suggesting a hidden aspect of the rapper’s personal life. The implication of neglect and absenteeism adds a new layer of complexity to their feud, straying far beyond typical rap rivalries.

This latest exchange adds fuel to a fire that has been burning for some time. Arising from preceding diss tracks and intensifying through a series of public interactions, including Lamar’s impactful appearance on Future and Metro Boomin’s collaborative album “We Don’t Trust You” on March 22nd, the feud has now reached a fever pitch. With each release, Drake and Lamar peel back more layers of their personal lives, exposing vulnerabilities and igniting debates among fans and critics alike.

As the dust settles from this latest confrontation, one thing remains clear: Drake and Lamar’s feud shows no signs of stopping. Whether it’s through music or public statements, these two rappers seem determined to settle their differences, no matter the cost.

Famous comedian Jerry Seinfeld recently shared his worries about comedy. He thinks it’s not as funny as it used to be because people are too careful about not upsetting others. Seinfeld believes comedians feel pressured to avoid talking about controversial topics because they’re afraid of getting into trouble. Seinfeld’s exact words were, “This is the result of the extreme left and PC crap and people worrying so much about offending other people.” He’s basically saying that the extreme left is making comedy less funny by trying to control what comedians can say.

According to Seinfeld, comedy has changed. It used to be a place where comedians could say whatever they wanted, but now they have to be careful. He thinks this change has led to fewer comedians being able to express themselves freely. Seinfeld’s ideas are shared by many in the entertainment industry. They notice that comedians are becoming more cautious about what they say. They worry that if they say something that upsets people, they’ll lose their jobs or get criticized.

Seinfeld also talks about how comedy scripts are checked by many people before they’re used. He says this makes comedy less creative and spontaneous because jokes have to be approved by lots of different people. Even though there are many TV channels and streaming platforms, Seinfeld feels there’s not enough genuinely funny content. He thinks a lot of comedy today is too safe and doesn’t take risks.

This highlights that the supposedly tolerant left isn’t as tolerant as they claim. They want to manipulate everything to suit their agenda, insisting that everything must adhere to their standards of being “safe” and “politically correct” in order to be deemed acceptable. Even harmless forms of expression like comedy and entertainment are not spared from their scrutiny. However, comedy is diverse, with various styles catering to different tastes. Jerry Seinfeld’s concern stems from the left’s and the liberals’ insistence on molding all comedy to fit their narrow definition of what qualifies as humor.
