Israel just strikes Lebanon, launching major airstrikes across Lebanon, leaving 89 people dead and around 700 injured, according to Lebanon’s health ministry. The attacks mark one of the deadliest days in the ongoing regional conflict.
Officials reported that at least 12 medical workers were among those killed, especially in southern Lebanon. Emergency teams rushed to damaged areas, trying to rescue survivors and treat the wounded as hospitals struggled to keep up.
The strikes come during a time of rising tension in the Middle East, with conflicts involving Iran and its allies adding pressure across the region. Many fear that continued violence could undermine peace efforts and lead to a wider war.
Lebanon has strongly condemned the attacks, while international leaders continue to call for restraint and dialogue. However, fighting has continued despite these calls, showing how fragile the situation remains.
The impact goes beyond the battlefield. The violence has raised concerns about civilian safety, regional stability, and even global markets, especially as nearby conflicts affect key oil routes.
