Donald Trump has warned that the conflict with Iran could escalate sharply if ongoing peace talks fail. He said the U.S. military remains ready and will stay in the region until both sides reach a final agreement.

Trump expressed confidence that Iran will follow through on talks, but he also made it clear that the U.S. is prepared for strong action if needed. He emphasized that American forces have the equipment and position to respond quickly to any threat.

At the center of the conflict is the Strait of Hormuz, a key global oil route. Tensions in the area have already pushed oil prices higher, as investors worry about supply disruptions. Iran has also tried to control access to the strait, raising concerns about global energy security.

Meanwhile, fighting in nearby regions, including Lebanon, has added pressure to the situation. Iran’s leaders say ongoing attacks could make peace talks harder to continue. Still, diplomats plan to meet soon in Pakistan to try to reach a deal.

Trump’s strategy shows a mix of firm pressure and negotiation. He wants Iran to agree to limits on its nuclear program and allow free movement through key waterways.

The coming days are critical. A deal could bring stability and lower oil prices, but failure could lead to a major escalation with global impact.
