JD Trucking and individual charged under Immigration Services Act

JD Trucking Ltd. and Jorawar Singh are charged with providing false or misleading information under The Immigration Services Act, 2024, over alleged offences at or near Regina. The province announced the charges on September 15.

Both accused are charged under section 7-6(1), which prohibits making or signing false statements, or providing information that is false, misleading or inaccurate. The release names Singh as an individual and does not say what relationship, if any, he has to the company.

The offences are alleged to have happened on or about April 9, 2026. Both accused were in Regina provincial court on September 2, and the matter was adjourned to September 28.

The release does not say what information is at issue, how many workers were involved, or whether any came forward.

These are charges under a provincial statute, not Criminal Code charges. No finding has been made against either accused, and nothing has been proven.

Complaints under the Act go to the Program Compliance Branch of the Ministry of Immigration and Career Training. The province says the branch keeps complaint details confidential.
