Where our reporting comes from

Our reporting is built on primary sources — police and RCMP releases, court dockets and decisions, provincial and municipal announcements, and documents filed in litigation. Where we summarise a release from another body we say so and link to it. We do not republish other outlets' reporting as our own.

Cases decided since publication

Some archived articles describe litigation that has since concluded. We do not rewrite published articles, so where a court has ruled we add an editor's note carrying the outcome above the original text. The article stands as it was written; the note records what happened next.

If you are named in a story

Write to info@saskatchewanherald.com. If something is wrong we will correct it and say that we did. If you disagree with a characterisation rather than a fact, we will publish your response. Our corrections policy sets out how that works.

How the site is built

A static site — no database, no comment tracking, no advertising scripts and no cookies. Pages are plain HTML served from a CDN, which is why they load quickly on a rural connection. The full archive is available as an RSS feed.
