Regina police arrested two Ontario residents on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at a home in the 3100 block of Copeland Road, according to a Saskatchewan RCMP news release. The arrests were part of an Ontario Provincial Police death investigation.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged Lindsay Dolan, 37, and Dylan Zoobkoff, 33, both of Arnprior, Ontario, with second-degree murder and indignity to a dead body. These are allegations. Nothing has been proven in court.

The release says the OPP got in touch with Saskatchewan RCMP and the Regina Police Service in late September, passing along information that two suspects in the Ontario investigation were believed to be travelling toward Saskatchewan.

Working with the Winnipeg Police Service, the RCMP’s Saskatchewan Enforcement Response Team found the pair as they entered the province from Manitoba. On Sept. 30, the team told Regina police the two were at the Copeland Road residence.

The release says Regina police took both people into custody safely, with the tactical support team and the major crimes unit among the units involved.

Dolan and Zoobkoff were taken to Ontario. They first appeared on the charges Friday, Oct. 2, in Ontario Court of Justice, the release says.

The release gives no details about the death, the person who died, or the events behind the charges. The OPP laid the charges. The Saskatchewan agencies assisted with the arrests.

The RCMP said the case shows how police services across Canada work together on major investigations.
