Saskatchewan RCMP SERT arrest 46, seize seven firearms in September

Saskatchewan RCMP say their Saskatchewan Enforcement Response Teams (SERT) made 46 arrests and executed 44 warrant arrests across the province in September.
An RCMP release dated Oct. 16 says the teams laid 39 charges and facilitated 11 search warrants. Seizures totalled 773 grams of cocaine, 30 grams of methamphetamine and seven firearms.
On Sept. 9, the Lloydminster trafficking response team searched a residence and seized two firearms, ammunition, approximately 41 grams of cocaine and 19 grams of methamphetamine. Police arrested and charged an adult male. On Sept. 16, the Yorkton team arrested an adult male at a property and seized 701 grams of cocaine and 85 pills of unknown composition.
On Sept. 17, a Prince Albert Crime Reduction Team drug trafficking investigation led to 12 arrests and seizure of six firearms and 28 grams of cocaine, the release says. It reports a four-day Battlefords-area initiative from Sept. 9 to 12 but gives no results for it. The monthly total is seven firearms, though the Lloydminster and Prince Albert seizures together name eight.
The release lists three warrant arrests on Sept. 2 and 3. One was at Mistawasis First Nation. Prince Albert officers made the other two, on warrants from Shellbrook and Melfort RCMP.
One of those arrested is described as a Top 100 Offender. The release names no accused.
Superintendent Andrew Farquhar said the results reflect focused, intelligence-led enforcement aimed at people and activity that carry significant risk for communities.
Charges are allegations. Nothing has been proven in court.
