Regina police have charged an 18-year-old from Surrey, B.C., after an October 21 arrest and a search in the city turned up fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine and cash.

Mohammad Alali is charged with three counts of possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000. None of the allegations has been proven in court.

According to the Regina Police Service release, its Drug Unit began investigating in September 2026. Police say the inquiry concerned an adult male suspected of dealing fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine in Regina.

Officers arrested an adult male on October 21 in the 2000 block of 12th Avenue. Police say they seized 78 grams of fentanyl and 33 grams of methamphetamine at the arrest.

Officers then searched a Hamilton Street residence in the 1800 block under a warrant. They seized 11 grams of fentanyl, six grams of methamphetamine, 24 grams of cocaine and $24,135 in cash.

The release lists the two seizures separately. Added together, they come to 89 grams of fentanyl and 39 grams of methamphetamine. That sum is the Herald’s arithmetic, not a figure police published.

Alali’s first court appearance on the charges was October 22 at Regina Provincial Court. The release does not say when he returns to court.
