Saskatchewan’s real gross domestic product reached a record $84.5 billion in 2025, the provincial government said in a release on Nov. 5, 2026.

GDP measures the total value of goods and services produced in a place over a set period. The release cites Statistics Canada data showing the provincial economy grew 3.1 per cent last year, compared with 1.9 per cent nationally. Agriculture, forestry, fishing and hunting grew 17.9 per cent, and construction grew 10 per cent.

Trade and Export Development Minister Warren Kaeding said there is “a lot to be proud of” in the figures. He said the government is creating jobs and opportunities as new projects advance and more companies invest.

The release says 60 large-scale projects are in planning or underway, adding up to more than $100 billion in private capital investment. It says Bell Canada’s planned data centre expansion near Regina, put at $52 billion, will create thousands of jobs in Regina and the surrounding area.

The release says construction began this year on NexGen Energy’s Rook I uranium project in northern Saskatchewan, valued at $2.2 billion, and that Denison Mines’ Wheeler River project has an initial capital investment of about $600 million. It estimates the two projects together at $2.8 billion.
